How transport is now days

Transport / By Barb

Meanwhile, the rest of the world appears to have caught up with the US in the availability of other methods of filling cars with clean electricity. And now, there is even an electric car in the United Kingdom that runs on biofuel.

Taking a cue from current vehicles that are not required to carry gas tanks, there are very few motor vehicles that use gasoline or diesel fuel in the United Kingdom. There are electric cars, hybrid cars, and vehicles that run on natural gas, but those vehicles are not nearly as common as gasoline-powered vehicles.

The Aston Martin Rapide S is the first car that has run on biofuel in the UK, and according to Autocar, this version of the car generates about 25 miles of emission-free driving before the engine kicks in. However, it must be noted that the whole journey is closer to 26 miles as the car only consumes about 10 percent of its fuel during the trip.

The car has a very high standard of fuel efficiency, especially when the car is powered only by its electric motor. To be exact, the car only has a consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 miles. The Aston Martin Rapide S, on the other hand, is rated at a whopping 181 miles of driving when the battery is not being charged.

As of now, the Aston Martin Rapide S is only available in the United Kingdom, but given the nation’s growing interest in electric and hybrid cars, there is no doubt the Aston Martin’s biofuel-powered electric car will soon become available to all those who want to purchase a vehicle with zero emissions.

Automobile news source Autocar also reports that Aston Martin will launch its electric car in the United States next year. The Aston Martin Rapide S with biofuel can be expected to reach a US market in early 2019.

With such a competitive and advanced car coming out in the United States, Aston Martin will likely sell the electric car to the same price, if not lower, than the current Aston Martin Rapide.
